It is around 2 'o clock in the afternoon. I had to call dad but my phone battery was dead. So, I call him from my friend's phone. Here's the conversation:
Me: Hello Papa
Dad: Ya, who is this?
I am his only son!!
Anyways, just goes to show that people subconsciously decide what to say without actually processing what the person on the other side of the call is saying. Apart, the conversation lasted 34 seconds (which just follows this post.)

I had a reverse experience once. Dad called from his office phone which I hadn't stored on my cell.
Dad: Hi Son
Me (My response on hearing a deep affectionate voice was extremely polite): I am really sorry, sir; but I don't have your number stored. May I know; who is this ?
Dad: C'on Son; no jokes now.
After realizing what I had just done; I faked about weak signals and something like I-can't-hear-your-voice and avoided an embarrassing conversation. :-)
